Ching-Chen Chen (Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services) co-authored a research article with faculty colleagues from three other universities titled, "Structure and Longitudinal Invariance of the Multicultural Awareness, Knowledge, and Skills Survey – Counselor Edition – Revised," published in the Journal of Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development. This article examines the structure and measurement validity of the MAKSS-CE-R, including invariance testing across time points and interprofessional groups, highlighting the need for more nuanced scoring in assessing multicultural counseling competence and its relevance to client outcomes.
